Prepress

Labels, Inc./Flex-Print offers full-service prepress and design capabilities utilizing state-of-the-art software and hardware. We can work from digital artwork files or we can take your project from design concept to finished product.

Preferred Software: Our Prepress workflow is Mac based. but we support standard industry artwork software applications on both Mac and PC platforms. For optimum label composition, we recommend creating artwork in illustration software applications as Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop for digital image manipulation. These programs are best suited to Flexographic and Screen Process label artwork creation and prepress production. Page layout programs such as InDesign are supported; however, they are not recommended for label development.

Electronic Artwork Submission: Electronic artwork may be provided via e-mail to prepress@labelsinc.com or sales@labelsinc.com. Please include a PDF of your file so that we can compare it to the source file, ensuring that what you send arrives correctly and completely. Files can also be sent through standard FTP or other art drop sites or on CD or DVD as needed.

Fonts and Graphics: Please include all placed graphics ie, photos, logos and other graphics along with the fonts used in your files. It is recommended to convert fonts to outlines to avoiding font issues, however once text is converted it is uneditable so you'll want to make a copy of the original before doing this.

Photographs and/or scanned images should be provided at a minimum of 300 dpi,@100% reproduction size for optimal print quality. Line art should be provided at a minimum of 1200 dpi,@100% reproduction size for optimal print quality.
