Supported Software

We support Illustrator®, Freehand®, QuarkXPress®, InDesign®, Photoshop®. Files in both Macintosh and PC versions of these applications are acceptable, all files are processed through our Macintosh systems.

PC Fonts

Please keep in mind PC fonts and Mac fonts are not compatible. PC files should be designed using PC fonts that have a Mac version available, otherwise a similar (Mac) font will be substituted. An alternative is to convert the fonts to vector (if software allows). If you intend to submit artwork which includes PC fonts, it would be best to contact us to determine what we can do before submitting the artwork.

Corel Draw

Corel Draw® files must be exported into an Illustrator® (AI) format with all fonts converted to curves. This will enable us to process them in Illustrator®. Since these files do not always transfer well, additional prepress preparation may be necessary.

PDF Files

We are able to produce product from PDF's if they originate in the software applications noted above and use standard Adobe Press Settings. We require the artwork supplied in the native application it was created in.

Linked Images

If an electronic artwork file has linked, placed or embedded images within it, the original files of those linked, placed or embedded images must accompany the electronic artwork file.

Page Layout Programs

We recommend that label artwork be generated in such software applications as Adobe Illustrator® or Macromedia Freehand®. These Programs are best suited for Flexographic and Screen Process label artwork creation and prepress production. QuarkXpress® or InDesign® are supported, however they are not recommended for label art creation. Due to the nature of Flexographic electronic prepress production, we recommend that complex label artwork not be created in such page layout programs. These programs are ideally suited for page layout work and offset printing.
